DPR-51 & NPF-6 Radiation Safety Training (File: 0765, 2-0765)

REF:

Your letter of October 2, 1979 to all Power Reactor Licensees

Dear Mr. Gammi11:

The basic GRAU radiation safety course that you have proposed appears to be sufficient with one exception.

The AP&L basic course is designed to cover the requirements of 10 CFR 19 and includes site specific radiological training.

If you can supply a certificate for each of your personnel stating that they have been instructed in the 10 CFR 19 requirements (except the si te speci fic sect ions), AP&L will accept the basic radiation safety certification and will provide site specifie training for NRC personnel.

If you have questions concerning this matter, please contact me.

Very truly yours, b k f.
