i7 Pursuant to the Board's recent prehearing conference request, the ST&fFhas advised me that the Final Environmental Statement for LACBWR is scheduled for issuance in the first quarter of 1980.
Seven environmental contentions were ' submitted to the Board after negotiation by the parties in letters of September 12 and 19,1978, frcm the Staff and Intervenors. Once the contentions are ruled upon by the Board, the Staff hopes to begin discovery so that we may proceed to hearing on the environmental issues involved in the full term operating license proceeding as indicated on page 6 of the Board's order of September 5, 1978.
