Dear Mr. Cunningham:

Dams This is to acknowledge receipt of your letter dated 21 September 1979 on the above subject.

This office will endeavor to develop the information requested at the earliest possible time consistent with other work schedules and District priorities.

Work is underway on the seismic capability of the subject dass as well as on assessing the weakest elements on which to base potential failure scenarios.

When such scenarios are developed, they will be furnished to our Hydrology and Hydraulics Branch for their consideration and inclusion in the preparation of inundation maps.

Previously fomulated schedules for the development of inundation maps are being modified to advance Conemaugh and Loyalhanna. These are being re-scheduled for the second quarter of the current fiscal year (January-March i

1980).

I g

We will keep you infomed of our progress in this work.

We appreciate receiving the copies of the " Seismic'itisk Analysis for tne Babcock and Wilcox Facility, Leechburg, Pennsylvania" which you sent us.
