UNITED STATES ATOMIC ENERGY COMMISSION DOCKET NOS. 50-289 AND 50-320 METROPOLITAN EDISON COMPANY AND JERSEY CENTRAL POWER & LIGHT COMPANY NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY OF APPLICANTS' REVISED ENVIRONMENTAL REPORT, AMENDMENT NO. 1 THERETO, AND AEC'S DRAFT ENVIRONME' ITAL STATEMENT FOR THE THREE MILE ISLAND NUCLEAR STATION, UNITS 1 & 2 Pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 and the Atomic Energy Comnission's regulations in Appendix D to 10 CFR Part 50, notice is hereby given that a revised report entitled " Metropolitan Edison Company, Jersey Central Power & Light Company Environmental Report Operating License Stage, Three Mile Island Nuclear Station Unit 1 and Unit 2," and " Amendment No. 1 to the Ihree Mile Island Nuclear Station Environmental Report," (collectively "the report")
submitted by the Metropolitan Edison Company, has been placed in the Commission's Public Document Room at 1717 H Street, NW, Washington, D. C., and in the Government Publications Section, State Library of Pennsylvania, Box 1601 (Education Building),

The report discusses enviror; mental considerations related to the Three Mile Island Nuclear Station, Units 1 and 2 located on the Company's site on Three Mile Island in the Susquehanna River, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. The report has been analyzed by the Commission's Directorate l of Licensing, and a Draft Environmental Statement on the environmental considerations related to the Three Mile Island Nuclear Station, Units 1 and 2, has been prepared and has been made availabic at the locations designated above. Copies of the Draft Environmental Statement on environmental considerations may be obtained upon request addressed to the United States Atomic Energy Commission, Washington, D. C.

Pursuant to Appendix D to 10 CFR Part 50, interested persons may, within seventy-five (75) days from date of publication of this notice in the FEDERAL REGISTER, submit comments for the Commission's consideration on the report, the Draft Environmental Statement, and on the proposed issuance of an operating license for the Three Mile Island Nuclear Station, Units 1 and 2. In addition, interested persons may, within thirty (30) days from the date of publication of this notice in the FEDERAL REGISTER, submit comments for the Commission's consideration on s' the report, the Draf t Environmental Statement, and on whether the construction permit authorizing construction of the Three Mile Island Nuclear Station Units 1 and 2, should be continued, todified, terminated, or appropriately conditioned to protect environmental values. b 0 D

Federal and State agencies are being provided with copies of the report and the draft detailed statement (local agencies may obtain these documents on request), and when comments thereon of the Federal, State, and local officials are received, they will be made available for public inspection at the above-designated locations.
