SUBJECT:
MINUTES OF MEETING WITH BALTIMORE GAS AND ELECTRIC COMPANY (BG&E)
ON PROPOSED SPENT FUEL POOL MODIFICATIONS FOR THE CLAVERT CLIFFS PLANT Subject meeting was held on October 10, 1979, in Bethesda, Maryland. Those in attendance are listed in Enclosure No. 1.
BG&E and Nuclear Energy Services (NES) representatives discussed the criticality calculatioi.s and computer codes used in the design. NRC personnel expressed reservations that the proposed modifications could be shown to meet the NRC criteria of 0.95 Keff.
BG&E agreed to re-examine changes in design of the racks to reduce Keff. An increase in spacing of assemblies will be cunsidered by BG&E.
