Dear Sir or Madam,
This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act as amended (5 U.S.C.
S552).
I represent the New Jersey Safe j
Energy Alliance (SEA Alliance) and its coordinator, John Denbeck.
I write to request a copy of all files in the Nuclear Regulatory Commission indexed or maintained under the name of the SEA Alliance and all documents returnable by a search for documents containing the name of the SEA Alliance.
To assist you in your search, I provide the following information:
the SEA Alliance is an unincorporated membership organization organized in the State of New Jersey with its main office located at 324 Bloomfield Avenue, Montclair, New Jersey.
The purpose of the SEA Alliance is to focus public attention on the dangers of nuclear technology, to inform the public as to the availability of alternatives and to take nonviolent, direct protest action in opposition to policies which place in jeopardy the health and safety of the entire human race.
As you know, the amended Act provides that if some parts of a file are exempt from release that " reasonably segregable" portions shall be provided.
I therefore request that, if you determine that some portions of the requested information are exempt, you provede me immediately with a copy of the remainder of the file.
The SEA Alliance, of course, reserves its right to appeal any such decisions.
If you determine that some or all of the requested informa-tion is exempt from release, I would appreciate your adv2 sing me as to which exemption (s) you believe covers the information which you are not releasing.
