DOCKETS NOS. 50-289 and 50-320 METROPOLITAN EDISON COMPANY JERSEY CENTRAL POWER AND LIGHT COMPANY PENNSYLVANIA ELECTRIC COMPANY NOTICE OF ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENTS TO FACILITY OPERATING LICENSES The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Comnission (the Comission) has. issued Amendment No. 49 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-50 and Amendment No. 9 to Facility.0perating License No. DPR-73, issued to Metropolitan Edison Company, Jersey Central Power and Light Company and Pennsylvania Electric Company (the licensees), snich revised the licenses for operation of the Three Mile Island Nuclear Station, Units Nos.1 and 2 (the facility),
located in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. The amendments become effective on February 23, 1979.
The amendments incorporate the "Three Mile Island Nuclear Station, Units 1 and 2 Modified Amended Physical Security Plan" into the licenses.
The licensees' filings comply with the standards and requirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and the Comission's rules and regulations. The Comission has made appropriate findings as required by the Act and the Commission's rules and regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I, which.are set forth in the license amendments.
P.rior public notice of these amendments was not required since the amandments do not involve a significant hazards consideration.

7590-01 The Commission has determined that the issuance of these amendments will not result in any significant environmental impact and that pursuant to 10 CFR 151.5(d)(4) an environmental impact statement, or negative declaration and environmental impact appraisal need not be prepared in connection with issuance of tbese amendments.
The licensees' filing dated February 1,1978, revised _ June 15, July 25 October 27 and November 17, 1978, and January 22 and February 22., 1979, and the Commission's Security Plan Evaluation Report are proprietary information and are being withheld from public disclosure pursuant to 10 CFR 2.790(d). The withheld information is subject to disclosure in accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR 59.12.
