Dear Mr. Budd:
This supplements my previous letter to you dated Novereber 29, 1971, concerning the AEC Determination to Suspend Certain Construction Activ-ities at the Three Mile Island Nuclear Generating Station Units 1 and 2, currently under construction by the Betropolitan Edison Company and Jersey Central Power & Light Company.
Upon consideration of the Companies answer to the Comission's Order to Show Cause, it has been determined that cause has been shown for recon-sideration and withdrawal of the Order to.Show Cause only to the extent it applies to lines other than the Juniata line (copy enclosed).
Upon consideration of the licensees' answer to the order to show cause, it has been determined that the Director of Regulation's deternination should be modified so as to provide for the suspension of construction activities involving the off-site portion of only the Juniata transnission line for the Three Mile Island Nuclear Generating Station, Unit 2, pending complation of the NEPA environmental review relating to these matters.
The Director of Regulation has served on the licensees an order suspending such construction activities.
