THREE MILE ISLAND NUCLEAR STATION UNIT 1 DOCKET NO. 50-289
Dear Mr. Brunner:
Your letter of October 23, 1973 indicated that one of the activities being performed under our license appeared to be in violation of AEC requirements. The violation was listed as follows: "Preoperational Test Procedure TP 305/2 Reactor Protection System Response Time, was issued as an Official Field Copy in non-compliance with Test Instruction TI-18 Test Procedure Documents."
The following corrective action has b e n completed as of October 29, 1973:
(1) The proper copy of TP 305/2 was issued to the field prior to co=mencing any section of the TP.
(2) TI-18 has been revised to clarify requirements for pre-liminary review meetings, incorporation of Test Auditor Comments Relative to Test Procedural Approval Circuitry.
RO:1 has reviewed this revision and has noted no apparent deficiencies.
(3) A generic review has been conducted of TP's issued prior to appr. oval of the TI-18 revision to insure that a similar problem did not exist in other TP's.
This review has been completed with satisfactory results.
