480 VOLT MOTOR CONTROL CENTER THERMAL OVERLOAD HEATERS REF: AEC/DRL Letter Dated 9/18/73

Dear Mr. DeYoung:

The referenced AEC/DRL letter directed Metropolitan Edison Company to use the criteria for selecting thermal overload heaters as 300% of the full load current for safety related motor operated valves.

As requested in the referenced letter, we are notifying you of our intended course of action. We are proceeding to resize the engineered safeguard motor operated valve overload heaters to activate at 300% of full load current for the operating time of the valve.

It is our intent to have completed this change by initial fuel load.
