Three Mile Island Nuclear Station Unit 1 Decket No. 50-289 Your letter of August 22, 1969 to Metropolitan Edison Cc.pany requested a s e n"y report en the pregrams that have been carried cut in response to the recomendations by the Fish and
'dildlife Service, alcng with copies of actual repcrts if available.
In addition, you requested that Metropolitan Edison indicate any measures taken to ecmply with other reccmendaticns of the Fish and Wildlife Service.
Metropolitan Edison indicated its intent to ccoperate with interested goverrr. ental agencies in matters concerning radiological surveys and other concerns of the Fish and 'dildlife Service in cur letter to you dated July 25, 1969; Docket 50-320.
Programs which are in keeping with the concerns cf the Fish and
'dildlife Service instituted by Metropolitan Edison are as follows:

(3) listed abcVe. Results of Reference (b) (1) are available for the year 1967 only and have not yet been repcrted for either 1968 cr 1969 Study of thermal effects in the Suscuehanna River has not been undertaken since the discharge temperatures of the effluent are near that of the receiving water.
Summary repcrts of the pre-operational radiological surveys and the biological surveys thrcugh the end of 1969 will be forwarded early in 1970. At present, as noted in Reference (a) (3) above, the envircnmental monitoring program at Three Mile Island is undergoing extensive review and =cdification. This ccmprehensive program, under develcpment, v1.1 provide Metropoli-tan Edisen with a more useful tcol to menitor environmental ccnditions in the vicinity of the site.
