Dear Mr. Giambusso:
Enclosed are three signed originals and 19 conformed copies of Amendment 45 to the Operating License Application for Three Mile Island Nuclear Station Unit 1.
This Amendment is submitted in response to the Commission's letter of January 22, 1974, concerning the TMI #1 Quality Assurance Program. The information is contained in Supplement 2 Part XII.
Also subnitted in this amendment, in the form of change pages, is information which serves to update the FSAR.
There are also enclosed one copy and 20 conformed copies of the Certificate of Service of Amendment 45 on the chief executives of the township and county in which the facility is located.

45 Applicant submits by this Amendment, in support of its request for an initial. operating license at a reactor power level of 2535 MWt, Supplement 2 Part XII which contains information concerning the TMI #1 Quality Assurance Plan. This information was requested in the Commission's letter of January 22, 1974.
