The enclosed evaluation covers two areas. First, the reload request i
submittad by Metropolitan Edison Company for operation of THI-1 during gycle 2 is evaluated. The Reactor Safety Branch finds the submittal to be acceptable.

The second part of the evaluation is the SER on the ECCS re-analysis for TMI-1 and includes the consolidated contributions of the Reactor Safety, Plant Systems, and Containment Systess Branches. The TMI-1 re-evaluation was submitted by' Metropolitan Edison Company on

July 9,1975 in response to the Comnission Order for Modification of License issued on December 27. 1974.
The TMI-1 ECCS re-evaluation is based upon an acceptable evaluation model u modified in accordance with the changes described in the staff SER for THI-1 dated December 27, 1974. The staff finds this to confom with the provisions of 10 CFR Part 50. Section 50.46, as noted in the enclosed SER.
