The undersigned. Ecbert F. Jones, being duly sworn according to law, deposes and says that:

1. I as the Manager-Generation Engineering for Metropolitan Edison Company (Met-Ed), 2800 Pottsville Pike, Pending, Pennsylvania 19605 Met-Ed is the licensee and operator of the 3ree Mile Island Nuclesr Oenerating Station Unit 1, and is a wholly owned subsidiary of General Public Utilities (GPU).
2. I have been empicyed by Met-Ed since May,1973 Mr duties include responsibility for plant performance analysis, nuclear and computer engineering work, evaluation of the hypothesized Loss of Coolant Accident analysis for Three Mile Island Unit 1, and the evaluation of the mode of com-pliance with the criteria of 10 CFR 50.

3 This statement is submitted in response to the requirements of Section 50.:.6 of 10 CFR 50, and reflects :::y opinien with regard to the time required to pro? rly review the forthecming ECCS evaluation and any resultant changes to the Three Mile Islana Naclear Genersting Station Unit i Technical Specificaticns.

!4 Review of any safety evaluation and/cr proposed changes of the Three Mile Island Unit 1 Technical Specifications is required by the conditions of the "'hree Mile Island Unit i license. Such review consists af 00nsideraticn of the operstional and plant related M*ects of the change by the Plant Opera-tiens Review Committee (P0FC), the overall evaluaticn of safety hazards by the General Office Seview Scrad (GCEB), and the evaluation of possible unreviewed e safety questiens or Tec*inical Specifications changes by the Met-Ed Carperste Techniaal Support Staff, as well as sn overall determinatien of : aitability i
