Dear Mr. Pinkel:
As we discussed in our recent telephone conversation, I an enclosing a copy cf the Three Mile Island Nuclear Station Unit 1 Final Safety Analysis Report (USAEC Docket 50-289). We would appreciate your assistance in reviewing the applicable portions of this report that relate to the recommendations you made during the construction permit review, concerning continued operability of necessary safety equip-ment following an assumed aircraft crash at the facility.
In particular, you should note Section 9.8.6 of Volume 3.
It does not appear that more than a few days of your time will be required for this assistance, and I would hope we can continue under the same agreements that existed during your review of the construc-tion permit application.
