Dear Mr. Price:
In the past few weeks we have received seven requests from your office for Departmental comments on nuclear generating stations, in accord with the requirements of the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969. Some of the proposals are extensive and will require detailed responses. Because of this influx of unprogram-med work, added to our already demanding load, it is impossible to meet the imposed deadlines. I am, therefore, requesting the following reporting dates:

The report for Oconee Units 1, 2, and 3 (50-269, 270, and 289) will follow by close of business Sectember 10.,
