Dear Sir:
The AEC Regulatory Staff hereby requests an extension of time until Wednesday, August 23,1972, in which to file its answer to the petition to intervene sub-mitted on behalf of the Citizens for a Safe Environment and the Environmental Coalition of Nuclear Power in the above-captioned proceeding. We have not yet received a copy of the applicant's answer to this petition to intervene.
The additional time is necessary to permit the Regulatory Staff to consider the matters presented in the Applicant's answer when it is received.
