Dear Sir:

Three Mile Island Nuclea-Station, Unit 1 Operating License No. DPR-50 Decket No. 50-289 Inservice Tendon Surveillance Program Please be advised that the ecmpletion date for the Inservice Tendon Surveillance Program, which was to have been originally completed September 10, 1977 and was pcstponed until October 7, 1977, has been delayed further due to the following problems:

The new ram was delivered six weeks late and then the operators had to become familiar with its operatien before it corld be used.

At least one week has been lost to delays caused by rain and unseasonable temperatures.

Gilbert Associates, Inc. required several days to evaluate cracked buttenheads en tenden H-51-13.

Numerous equipment failures and perscnnel errors have caused more delays.

Therefore, we are requesting an extension until November 11, 1977, to cceplete the Inservice Tendon Surveillance Progrsn.
