DOCKET NO. 50-289 Metropolitan Edison Company, a corporation organized under the laws of the State of Pennsylvania, applicant for an operating license and construction permit for the Three Mile Island Nuclear Station Unit 1, hereby amends its application to include new information regarding the emergency core cooling system which is due to recent design developments; this new information is included as Supplement No. 4 and :evised pages. Other information is in-cluded to supplemen'; that material contained in Amendment 4.

This amendment to the application contains no restricted data or other defense information.
