Three Mile Island Nuclear Station Unit No. 1 Docket No. 50-289 Amendment No.11 Provisional Construction Permit No. CPPR-40 Ref. (a) Metropolitan Edison Ccmpany Ietter to Dr. Peter A. Morris of July 1,1968 Reference (a) forwarded Amendment No.11 to the Construction Permit Application for the Three Mile Island Nuclear Station Unit No.1; this letter supplements Reference (a).
Metropolitan Edison Company hereby requests an amendment to the Provi-sional Construction Permit No. CPPR-40 issued to Met-Ed for construction of the Three Mile Island Nuclear Station. This amendment would provide for the use of 170 wire BBRV post tensioning tendons in the reactor containment building which would replace the 90 wire BBRV tendons pre-viously described in Supplement No.1 of the Preliminary Safety Analysis Report.
Met-Ed is proceeding as follows: Construction of the reactor building base mat wI11 be in accordance with that described in the amended Preliminary Safety Analysis Report, as amended through Amendment No.10, g @f it 1491 184 o
