gepile.torf Amendment No. 11 Attached are three signed originals and nineteen conformed copies of Amendment No.11 to the Construction Permit Application for the Three Mile Island Nuclear Station Unit 1.

This amendment provides for the use of 170 wire BBRV post-tensioning tendons in the reactor containment building. These 170 wire tendons will replace the 90 wire BBRV tendons which were described in the answer to Question 7.11 in Supplement No.1 of the Preliminary Safety Analysis Report.

There are enclosed one signed and twenty conformed copies of Certificates of Service of Amendment No.11 to the chief executives of the township and county in which the facility is to be loce'ed.

Metropolitan Edison Company, a corporation organized under the laws of the State of Pennsylvania, applicant for an operating license and construction permit for the Three Mile Island Nuclear Station Unit 1, hereby amends its i

s.pplication to provide information on the use of 170 wire post-tensioning tendons in the reactor containment building instead of the 90 wire post-tensioning tendons described previously.

This amendment to the application contains no restricted data or other defense information.
