Dear Mr. Powell:
This is to notify you of our interest in obemining Dr. Hunt's assistance with respect to studies of air awhange in the isolated control room of a nuclear plant. We would like Dr. Hunt te visit a typical nuclear plant to inspect the control room.
This trip is mehaduled to occur om or about July 12, 1973.
Dr. Hunt's travel expenses would b reimbursed by the AEC (sorry but we emanat arrange a travel advance). Tantatively the plan is to visit the Threa Mile Island plant which is southsaat of Harrisburg, Pa. We would like your approval for thf.s trip (our phone here is 973 7323).
We are in the process of a budget review. We should know within a month or two whether sufficient funds are available to conduct a program in which we would plan to use Dr. Hunt's services.
Onca budget approval has been obe=4and we will meet with the appropriate NBS pera, M to outline our needs, etc. For p1muning purposes we estimate that about two months of Dr. Hunt's time would be required for data collection, data reduction, and documentation.
