UNITED STATES ATOMIC ENERGY CCMMISSICN D3 GT NO. 50-289 METROPOLITAN EDISCN CCMPANY NOTICE OF ISSUANCE OF PROVISIONAL CONSTRUCTION PEFMIT Notice is hereby given that, pursuant to the Initial Decision of the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board, dated May 16, 1968, the Director of the Division of Reactor Licensing has issued Provisional Construction Permit No. CPPR 40 to Metropolitan Edison Company for the construction of a pressurized water nuclear reactor, designated as the Three Mile Island Nuclear Station to be located at Metropolitan Edison Company's site on Three Mile Island in the Susquehanna River in Londonderry Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, approximately ten miles southeast of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
A copy of the Initial Decision is on file in the Cocmission's Public Document Room, 1717 H Street, N.
W., Washington, D. C.
