The Atomic Energy Coumission has issued Provisional Construction Permit No. CPPR-40 to Metropolitan Edison Company for the con-struction of a pressurized water nuclear reactor designated as the Three Mile Island Nuclear Station on the cot:pany's sita on Three Mile Island, in Londonderry Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
A copy of the construction perr.it is Eaclosed together with a related notice which has been transmitted to the Office of the Federal Register for filing and publiestion.
This permit has been issued pursuant to the Initial Decision of the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board, dated May 16, 1968. A copy of the decision is also enclosed.
