Dear Mr. Gerusky:
The Atomic Energy Commission has issued Provisional Construction Permit No. CPPR-40 to Metropolitan Edison Company for the con-struction of a pressurized water nuclear reactor designated as the Three Mile Island Nuclear Station on the company's site on Three Mile Island, an island in the Susquahanna River, in Iondon-derry Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
A copy of the construction permit is enclosed together with a related notice which has been transnitted to the Office of the Federal Register for filing and publication.
Ihe permit has been issued pursuant to the Initial Decision of the Atomic Safety tnd Licensing Board, dated May 16, 1968. A copy of the decision is also enclosed.
