As requested, ccpies of Carolina Environmental Study Group (CESG) Exhibit No.
31, are being provided to the Board and parties (Tr. 4295), The requisite 3 copies of CESG Exhibit No. 31 are being sent to the court reporter under cover of a separate letter.
On Wednesday, September 12, 1979, the NRC Staff was requested to supply for the record with the Licensing Board and the parties infonnation concerning when the cask drop matter was first raised in the FSAR. (Tr. 4281). Based on infor:r.ation supplied by the Applicant, on April 30, 1975, in FSAR, Revision 3, the Applicant first provided information relative to the cask droi matter.
This was done by the Applicant in response to NRC Staff questions.
For your general information and based on information obtained from the Applicant, the cask drop subject has also been generally addressed in FSAR, Revision 6, July 21,1975 (" generic rail cask analysis"); FSAR, Pevision 36, April 13,1979
(" analysis for the NFS-4 cask"); FSAR, Revision 37, July 9, 1979 (' addition of administrative controls"); FSAR, Revision 38, August 31, 1979 (" rail cask analysis deleted, NLI 1/2 cask analysis and TN-8 cask analysis submitted").
