Dear Mr. O'Reilly:

This is to confir'x the telephone call to William Bradford at 1:25 o' clock P.M.

on October 11, 1919 by Mr. W. G. Hairston, III.

Westinghouse Electric Corporation verbally notified Alabama Power Company that three ASME Class 3 valves (Q1E13V007A, Q1E13V007B and Q1E21V304) are installed in ASME Class 2 systems. The subject valves are located in the CVCS and Contauvaent Spray Systems.

Alabama Power Company has not fully evaluated this information; however, since the installation of Class 3 valves in locations requiring Class 2 valves is not in accordance with design, it is felt that this is a potential item of reportability under Technical Specification 6.9.1.8.i.

Further details will be provided in the followup report.

Sincerely yours, W . .$. ,Y . 5 %
