Notice of Joint Meeting Tne ACRS Subcommittees on Metal Components and Combination of Dynamic Loads will hold a joint open meeting on July 10 and 11,1978 in Room 1046, 1717 H St.,
N.W., Washington, DC 20555, to discuss the NRC Safety Research Program on Ketal-lurgy and Materials, and the NRC Staf f's basis and philosophy for the combination of dynamic loads on systems, structures and componeats. Also, recent plant shut-downs due to inadequate seismic protection of some safety related piping systems, will be discussed.
In accordance with the procedures outlined in the Federal Register on Oct.4, 1973 (43 FR 45926), oral or written statements may be presented by members of the public, recordings will be permitted only during those portions of the meeting when a transcript is being kept, and questions may be asked only by members of the Subcommittee, its consultants, and Staff. Persons desiring to make oral statements should notify the Designated Federal Employea as far in advance as practicable so that appropriate arrangements can be made to allow the necessary time during the meeting for such statements.
Tne agenda for subject maeting shall be as follows:
Tuesday, July 10 and Wednesday, July 11, 1979 8:30 a.m. until the conclusion of business each day.
The Subcommittee may mett in Executive Session, with any of its consultants who may be present, to explore and exchange their pre-liminary opinions regarding matters which should be considered during the meeting and to formulate a repart and recommendations to the full 1174 2,/2 Committee.

V J-At the conclusion of the Executive session, the subcom:aittee vill hear presentations by and hold discussions with representatives of the NRC Staff, and their consultants, pertineat to the agenda items.
