Federal Register Notice NUCLEAR RB3UIKIORY COMMISSION ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON REACIOR SAFa3UARDS Notice of Proposed Meetirgs In order to provide advance information regardirs proposed meetirgs of the ACRS Succommittees and Worklng Groups, and of the full Committee, the following preliminary schedule reflects the current sitation, takirg into account additional meetings which have been scheduled and meetirgs which have been postponed or cancelled since the last list of proposed meetirgs published June 27,1979 (44 FR 37568). 'Ihose meetings which are definitely scheduled have had, or will have, and individual notice publishea in the Federal Register approximately 15 days (or more) prior to the meetirg.

Those Subcommittee and Working Group meetirgs for which it is anticipated that there will be a portion or all of the meetire open to the public are indicated by an asterisk (*).

It is expected that the sessions of the full Committee meeting designated by an asterisk (*) will be open in whole or in part to the public. ACRS full Comittee meetings begin at 8:30 a.m. and Subcomittee and Working Group meetings usually begin at 8:30 a.m.

'Ibe exact time when items listed on the agenda will be discussed durire full Committee meetings and when Subcommittee and Workirq Group meetings will start will be published prior to each meetirg. Information as to whether a meeting has been firmly scheduled, cancelled, or rescheduled, or whether changes have been made in the acenda for the August 1979 ACRS full Committee meeting can be obtained by a prepaid telephone call to the Office of the Executive Director of the Committee (telephone 202/634-3267, ATIN:

  • Three Mile Island, Unit 2 Accident - Implications Re Nuclear Power Plant Design, July 26-27, 1979, Wasnington, DC. he Ad Hoc Subcommittee will address the topic of further ACRS review of pending applications for operatirg licenses as a result of the accident, and, specifically, the Salsa Nuclear Power Station, Unit 2 which will serve as a prototype for the near-tenn Westimhouse operating license stage plants to focus the discussion.

Notice of this meeting was published on July 12 and 19, 1979.

We Subcommittee will continue its review of matters related to NRC sponcorea research on the safety of advanced reactor designs. Notice of this r.eeting was published July 23, 1979.

We Subcommittee will review proposed regulatory guides and revisions to existing regulatory.31 ides; also, it may discuss pertinent activities which affect the current licensing process and/or reactor operation.

We Ad Hoc Subcommittee will review the topic of combination of dynamic loads on structures components, and systems.
