REPORT OF TUGCO, et al., - JULY, 1979 Pursuant to the direction of the Atcmic Safety and Licensing Board during the Special Prehearing Conference en June 21, 1978 (Tr. 124-125) in South Texas, and during the conferences in Comanche Peak and South Texas en Cecember 5, 1973 (Tr. 79-90), TUGCO submits this report on discovery during the month of July, 1979.

The principal discovery activities during the month cf July were partic..pation in depositions as described in greater detail in the report of Ecusten Lighting and Pcwer Ccmpany.

Implementation of a variety of agreements regarding production of documents or lists of documents requested by TUGCC at depositiens remain pending.

Respenses were received frca Tex-La. to TUGCO's inter:cgatcries.

,_ We have received a supplemental response from the Depart-ment of Justice to TUGCO's first set of interrogatories.

TUGCO made informal arrangements with the Department to exchange expert testimony and relevant publications.

TUGCO also pro-vided its third supplemental response to the Departments' interrogatories and related information requested informally by the Department.

The PUB of Brownsville has still not contacted TUGCO to schedule inspection of documents as previously arranged.

TUGCO received and is pr' paring a response to a supplemental request for production of documents from the NRC Staff in con-nection with a deposition which was subsequently deferred.

Supplemental responses to CSW interrogatories were pending in July and dispatched in August.
