NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION o

{,z jj WASHINGTON, D. C. 20555

,8 October 10, 1979 v

Karl K. Lunkenheimer, Esquire Cozen, Begier & 0'Connor 19th Floor Three Penn Center Plaza N.E. Cor.16th and Market Streets IN RESPONSE REFER Philadelphia, PA 19102 TO F0IA-79-394

Dear Mr. Lunkenheimer:

This is in response to your letter dated September 19, 1979 in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, documents relating to the developments of s form for a nuclear energy policy for nuclear power plant facilities 2s subsequently promulgated in 10 CFR 140.91.

The documents listed in Appendix A (150 pages) have already been made available for public inspection and copying at the NRC Public Document Room (PDR),1717 H Street, N.W., Washington, DC 20555, under file number "F0lA-79-226, MANEY".

The charge for reproducing records located in the POR is eight cents (50.08) per page, as specified in 10 CF' 9.14(a).

Copies of these documents can be purchased by writing directly to the PDR.

The number of pages per document is indicated in the Appendix.

Upon your agreement to pay the reproduction charges, the PDR will arrange for the records to be reproduced by Potomac Research, Inc., a private reproduction contractor servicing the PDR. You will be billed by Potomac Research, Inc. for the reproduction charges, plus tax and postage.

As you probably know, the regulatory records on this subject extend back to 1957, and some records probably have been sent to Federal records retention centers for storage.

Consequently, it is expected that a very substantial effort would be required to search for all documents in NRC's files so as to identify any other documents wnich may contain some reference to the areas of interest to you.

We believe the documents available as above are responsive and pertinent to your request.

If you obtain copies and examine the documents listed in Appendix A, and, if you have any further requirements, you may wish to discuss your 1143 283 7910160b

specific questions with Mr. Jerome D. Saltzman, Chief, Anti-Trust and Indemnity Group (301-492-8336). This will permit us to pinpoint with greater accuracy any additional documents which you may need.

Sincerely, y1.1
