Dear Mr. Daneau:

This is in response to your undated letter, in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act (F0IA), information relating to removal of radioactive waste and' rock from the PM-3A site in Antarctica to Ventura County, California.

Appendix A, enclosed, lists the documents subject to your request, copies of which are enclosed.

The charge for reproducing records not located in the NRC Public Document Room is ten cents per page, as specified 1610 CFR 9.14(b).

Accordingly, the cost of reproducing the enclosed 103 pages is $10.30.

Mr. Erickson of your organization, in a telephone conversation with Ms. Wagman of my staff, indicated that you would be willing to pay this amount.

Please

~

send a check, made payable to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, along with a copy of this letter to me in Room 4210-MNBB, U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Washington, DC 20555.

Ms. Wagman also told Mr. Erickson that there might be additional documents subject to your request, some of which had been released in response to an earlier F0IA request concerning the PM-3A reactor.

However, we have now found that the earlier request concerned other issues.

Therefore, the enclosed documents complete our response to your request.

Sincerely,
