ZIMMER NUCLEAR POWER STATION UNIT 1 - REVISION TO NRC MATERIALS LICENSE NO. SNM-1823 Gentlemen-The Cincinnati Gas & Electric Company, on behalf of itself and as agent for Columbus and Southern Ohio Electric Company and The Dayton Power and Light Company, requests that the final sentence on page 8 of the Zimmer Nuclear Pcwer Station Unit 1 License Application for Storage only of Unirradiated Reacter Fuel and Associated Radioactive Material (March 8, 1978) be amended to read:

" Fuel bundle handling operations are performed by CG&E personnel or by employees of the Henry J.

Kaiser Company, plant constructor, working under the direct supervision of CG&E employees in accordance with approved procedures."

This change is required in that the temporary wheel mounted crane (cherry picker) must be operated by Kaiser employees.
