12. ct:CA)PffCN CF AA4fND,.(NT/mCDIFICAllCN The purpose of :his modification is to exercise the option to extend the contract for another year in accordance with Part II, Section G.2 of the contract; add a sentence at the end of Section E.1, SCOPE.OF WORK; provide additional funding in the amount of $13,000 to cover the second year's period of performance and to substitute the data sheets attached to the contract and list them under Part III, Section L.

II. 'Jnder Part II, Section E.1, add the folicwing;

" The STATE shall monitor the transportation of all categcries of radioact e materials, but shall direct a major portion of its effort to the surveillance of radioactive waste material. "

(.GE2of3 CONTRACT No. NRC-06-78-357 MODIFICATION No. 1 unless sooner terminated as furthur stated in Section I, Paragraph I.2 or as further stated in Section 3, Paragraph G.2 "

IV. Under Part II, Section J.2, delete J.2.1 in its entirety and substitute the following in lieu thereof; "The Commission shall pay the STATE a fixed sum of $19,000 for the two-year period specified in this contract chargeable to the approp-riations (FAA) cited in Block 14, Page one (1). The STATE shall contribute in persennel, facilities, materials and equipment in an amount equal to that of the Commission. "
