Dear Mr. Sullivan:
This is in regard to your letter dated August 23, 1979 in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, documents per-taining to Makepeace, Inc. or Englehard, Inc.
In a previous telephone conversation with Mr. Stephen Isaacs of my staff, you were informed that we had recently received records of Englehard, Inc. which had been placed in storage.
These files are now temporarily located in the NRC Public Document Room (PDR),1717 H Street, N.W., Washington, DC awaiting your inspection and copying.
With regard to documents relating to Attleboro's involvement with nuclear activities prior to the start of the licensing program, you may wish to write to the Department of Energy which assumed the functions of the Atomic Energy Commission relating to research and development and the weapons program.
