PRAIRIE ISLAND NUCLEAR GENERATING PLANT Docket Nos. 50-282 License Nos. DPR-42 50-306 DPR-60 Response to IE Sulletins 78-12,78-12A, and 78-12B dated Sep tember 29, 1978, November 29, 1978, and March 19, 1979 We have been informed by the Westinghouse Electric Corporation that the schedule for providing the Prairie Island reactor vessel weld metal information speci-fied in IE Bulletins 78-12,78-12A, and 78-12B has been extended once again.
As noted in our earlier correspondence, the reactor vessels for the Prairic Island plant were manufactured by Creusot-Loire of France. Westinghouse has experienced difficulties in obtaining the necessary information due to communications barriers. We now believe that these dif ficulties have been overcome and Creusot-Loire will provide the needed information to Westinghouse by October 31, 1979. Allowing time for review by Westinghouse and NSP, a sub-mittal date of November, 1979 should be possible for the material requested in the subject IE Bulletins.
