We have been working closely with our archite;t-engineer with regard to your letter of August 13, 1979, requesting additional information pertaining to the use of Containment Liner Leak Chase Channels as anchors for Category I supports. As a result of this and previous reviews, we are satisfied that the installation is acceptable and is supported by adequate design justifica-tion.
By this letter, we are hereby informing you that we have chosen Alternative No. 2 of your letter.
In order to provide the detailed information requested in the attachment to your letter, we are requesting that the time period for our response be extended to November 30, 1979. This extension will enable us to coordinate our efforts with Chicago Bridge & Iron Company, the installer of the leak chase channels, and Sargent & Lundy, our architect-engineer, in the ccliection of those data which provide the justification for our choice.
We trust that this letter is satisfactory to comply as an interim reply to your letter.
