Dear Mr. Grier:
This letter constitutes the 60 day report required by IE Bulletin 79-14.
We have completed the inspection required by item 2 of the Bulletin for all accessible systems (both redundant and non-redundant) of both Unit 1 and 2.
Results of the inspection on each individual piping " stress problem" were categorized as follows:
Group 1 - No non-conformance, or minor non-conformance(s) that clearly do not affect system operability.
Group 2 - Non-conformance elements are judged to be significant, but a review of the original calculation indicates that the impact on the system operability or functionality is minor. Exa=ples of this group are non-conformance of pipe support locations, pipe segment length, etc.,
on a lov stressed piping system. Group 2 systems can be operated, but analyses must be updated and/or minor mo#.ifications completed.
Group 3 - Non-conformances are judged to be possibly significant and the review of the original calculation indicates that there may be i= pacts to the operability or function-ality of the system. Examples are missing seismic supports at a highly stressed location, etc.

Mr. B. H. Grier Page 2 September h, 1979 Group k - Discrepancies previously identified, resulting from a re-definition of the boundtries between seismic and non-seismic systems. The re-definition added additional conservatism to the original as-built design criteria as described in the FSAR, and several additional pipe supports were designed, but not yet installed su=marizes results to date; attachmeat 2 itemizes non-confornances found, action planned, and estims+ad schedule for completing action. Our schedule for the remainder of the inspection program is as explained in our letter of July 31, 1979 Very truly'vours,
