ORDER On August 3,1979, Mr. Michael C. Farrar, who is the Chairman of the Appeal Board considering the Indian Point proceeding and a member of the Seabrook Board, issued his full dissenting opinion on the seismic issu.es considered in ALAB-422, 6 NRC 33, 54-65 (1977) (Seabrook) and ALAB-436, 6 NRC 547 (1977)

(Indian Point). The Memorandum attached to the August 3 dissenting opinion of Mr. Farrar on behalf of the Appeal Baards indicates that the 2ndian Point and Seabrook majorities may respond to the dissent with supplemental opinions.

Any such supplemental opinions should be issued by September :21,1979.

In previous orders the Commission has extended the time -in which petitions to review the seismic issues in these proceedings could be fi: led and the time in which it could decide whether to grant review.

In view of the complexity of the issues presented here, the length of time that has passed since the original majority opinions were issued ano the nr.ed to ensure the parties an adequate opportunity to prepare their petitions to the Commission, th'e times for filing petitions to review either the seismic issues decided in ALAB-422 or the seismic issues in ALAB-436 are hereby extended pur-suant to 10 CFR 2.772 until 15 days after the service of any supplemental majority opinion in the particular proceeding sought to be reviewed.

Cf_. 10 CFR 2.786(b)(1). Any party is permitted to refer to or incorporate by reference in its petition for review any petition previously filed by it that relates to seismic matters involved in the proceeding it seeks to have reviewed. Answers opposing review may be filed within ten days after service of the petition for review. The time for the Commission to grant any such petition is hereby extended to 30 days after filing of such petition and the time in which the Commission may review cither ALAB-422 or ALAB-436 on its own motion is extended until that sane date, it is so ORDERED.
