Enclosed please find an application from Timex Corporation for a license to export 400,000 curies of tritium as tritium gas in sealed luminous back e
lighting assemblies to the Philippines and Singapo e, or a total of 200,000 curies to each country.for a one year period. You will note that this request is identical to Timex's license XB000956 wEich will expire on October 1,1979.
Before taking action on this license application, we would appreciate your views, in accordance with established procedures and from the overall perspective of the Executive Branch, as to whether the issuance of the re-quested license would be inimical to the interests of the United States.
