Enclosed please find an urgent cable from Micro Display Systems, Inc. requesting a license to export tritium luminous sources to Hong Kong.

Before taking action on this export request, we would appreciate your views, in accordance with established procedures and from the overall perspective of the Executive Branch, as to whether tne issuance of the requested license would be inimical to the interests of the United States, including the corrmon defense and security, and whether the propose 2 export meets the applicacie criteria in tne Atomic Energy Act as amended by the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Act of 1975.
