I am writing you on behalf of my constituent, Mr. Richard Shoup, who has expressed some difficulty in obtaining information from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission pertaining to the proposed dumping of water containing low-level radio-active waste into the Susquehanna River.
In order that I nay properly respond to my constituent, please explain the proposed process for cleaning the water that con-tains radioactive waste prior to the possible dumping into the Susquehanna River.
Second, can you and the NRC assure me that should the dumping take place, the water then in the Susquehanna River will meet all current state and federal water pollution standards.
I look forward to receiving your resconse.
