Vogt-Lowell to discuss the possibility of obtainina an extension in some of our connit-ments related to our responses to I & E Bulletin 79-06A. In our letter of June 25, 1979 to the NRC, FPL committed to revise the procedures affected by items 2 and 10 cf the i&E Bulletin 79-06A by July 31, 1979 In our letter of June 4, 1979 FPL committed to revise the procedures affected by items 8 and 10 of the I & E Bulletin 79-06A by July 31, 1979 We discussed the fact that completion of the proradure changes related to item 2 would not be possible until the issue of reactor coolant pump post-accident operation was resolved. Mr. Vogt-Lowell said an extension on that basis was acceptable providing a new commitment date was established. We committed to pomplete the item 2 procedure changes by August 31, 1979 With respect to the item 8 and 10 procedure changes, we stated we wished to clarify the commitments made in che June 4 and June 25 letters as ,

follows: The procedure changes would be draf ted by July 31, reviewed by tSe PNSC on August 1, 1979, and typed, approved and distributed as soon thereafter as possible, which would probably be within two or three weeks. Mr. Vogt-Lowell stated he felt this was an acceptable clarification of the commitment.

Mr. Vogt-Lowell then asked if we would provide him with documentation of this telephone call for his files. I responded that we would do so.
