Dear Senator Metzenbaum:
This is an additional response to your letter of April 23, 1979, regarding the return to power of the Davis-Besse facility. Our response of June 26, 1979 provided documents which were obtained from the files in our Office of Inspection and Enforcement. With this letter we provide documents related to your concerns which were obtained from the files in our Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation.
By letter dated July 6,1979, Enclosure 1, Toledo Edison Company was pemitted to return the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station, Unit No.1, to power operation. contains th, orrespondence and meeting notes which relate to the action pemitted by Enc.iosure 1. contains transcr 'ots of the Commission meetings relating to the subject.
, e have had a request from Ohio State Senator Tim McComack requesting a public W
hearing on the operation of Davis-Besse 1.
Also, we have had a request for certain action regarding the operation of the Davis-Besse 1 from Mr. Terry J. Lodge of the Toledo Coalition for Safe Energy. contains documents which relate to the 0bove requests.
