Dear Mr. Seyfrit:
In accordance with the requirements of 10CFR50.55(ei, LP&L has previously submitted interim reports of the two Significant Construction Deficiencies concerning the emergency diecel generators.
Based on communications with Cooper-Bessemer, the manufacturer of the diesel generators, LP&L reported in the referenced letters that modifications correcting the deficiencies were scheduled to be completed and final reports submitted by August 31, 1979.
Cooper-Bessemer has now informed us that the last of the modification assemblies are now planned for shipment from the factory by September 7, 1979.
This delay by Cooper-Bessemer does not adversely i= pact Waterford 3 construction needs and is acceptable.
Based on the above, we will now submit final reports for Sienificant Construction Deficiency No. 6 and No. 10 by November 1, 1979.
