In accordance with the requirements of the Nuclear Nonproliferation Act, this is to inform you of the status of your license application XCOM0240 for the export of comoonents to India for use in the Tarapur Nuclear Power Station.
Favorable Executive Branch views on your application were received on June 11,1979;however, licensing action has not been cce:oleted because your application is being reviewed in conjunction with the review of the most recent Tarapur fuel export license application (XSNM01379).
With respect to both cases, we are presently awaiting receipt of comments from the State Department in connection with recent political developments which have occurred in India.
Please be assured that we will endeavor to expedite your application to the extent possible once all questions relating to your proposed export and to the fuel request have been adequately resolved. We shall continue to keep you informed of the status of your license application.
