Gentlemen:
Haddam Neck Plant Proposed Radiological Effluent Technical Specifications on August 1, 1979, (Reference (4)), Connecticut Yankee Atomic Power Company (CYAPCO) submitted revisions to its Haddam Neck Plant's proposed Radiological Ef fluent Technical Specification and Off site Dose Calculation Manual.
In that letter, CYAPCO committed to providing other information requested in the May 22, 1979 meeting by August 17, 1979.
The requested information is as follows:
Solid Waste Process Control Program The proposed Process Control Program (PCP) is described in Enclosure 1.
The PCP describes the function of the Liquid Waste System and Purifica-tion System.
Valve Impact Appraisal of Alternate Spent Resin Disposal Method CYAPC0 has investigated various systems and plant modifications which would provide for the solidification of spent resins.
The alternatives would require the construction of a new waste solidification building.
This yields an estimated cost for the project of approximately $4,000,000.

. CYAPC0 recognir.cc the benefits to bc gained in both shipping and burial of solidified ret iac n op;.osed to dewatered resins.
However,
it is felt that the degree of benefits is far exceeded by the projected cost to accomplish this goal. Thus, at the present time, CYAPC0 has no firm plans nor commitments to install a resin solidification system.
Because the information being submit'.ed herewith updates information provided in References (1), (2) and (4), the fee forwarded with Reference (1), pursuant to 10CFR170, is applicable to this submittal. Accordingly, no fee payment is enclosed.
Very truly yours, CONNECTICUT YANKEE ATOMIC POWER COMPANY
