(1) Letter of September 15, 1978 to Dr. C.V. Smith of NRC from R.A. Williams of NMD (2) Letter of June 27, 1979 frcm Mr. G.W. McCorkle of NRC to M.A. Austin of NM&MD Reference is also made to telephone conversations between Messrs.
R.F. Skelton and 0.F. Smith of your office on July 6 and 9,1979, respectively, and P.J. Defilippi of NM&MD.
In the above referenced September 15, 1978 letter NMD had stated that, when approved, the Parks Township Site Safeguards Contingency Plan would replace and supercede Sections 7.0 and 8.0 of the approved Parks Township Site Physical Security Plan, Revision 1.
Via the above referenced June 27, 1979 letter, NRC approved the Parks Township Site Safeguards Contingency Plan; however, the matter of replacing Sections 7.0 and 8.0 of the Physical Security Plan with the approved Safeguards Contingency Plan was not addressed.
Per the above referenced conversa-tions with your office it is apparent that the atter should have been addressed to officially authorize replacement of the referenced sections with the approved contingency plan.
Therefore, NM&MD respectfully requests your approval for the replacement of Sections 7.0 and 8.0, in their entirety, of the Parks Township Site Physical Security Plan, Revision 1 with the recently approved Parks Township Site Safeguards Contingency Plan.
In anticipation of your aporoval of this request, enclosed are six (5) copies of revised Sections 7.0 and 8.0 of the Security Plan appropriately revised to indicate replacement by the Contingency Plan.
Your expedient approval of this request will be appreciated.
