DISCUSSION OF PROCEDURES TO GOVERN FURTHER PROCEEDIi1GS IN RESTART OF TMI-1, 1:40 P.M., TUESDAY, JULY 17, 1979, COMMISSIONERS' CONFERENCE ROOM, D. C. OFFICE (OPEN TO PUBLIC ATTENDANCE)
The Comission continued its discussion of July 12, 1979 concerning procedures to govern further proceedings in the restart of Three Mile Island Unit 1.
The Comission requested that:
1.
the General Counsel contact the Chairman of the Atomic Safety &
Licensing Board Panel and solicit nominations of indivmduals to serve on the Atomic Safety & Licensing Board selected for the hearing on the restart of the facility.
(Subsequently, the General Counsel contacted the Chairman, AS&LBP, on Tuesday, July 17, 1979, and was provided the subject nominations).
In taking this action, the Comission noted that:
1.
a complete draft order will be prepared after NRR finishes its identification of the technical issues to be addressed in the Comission order (this action is anticipated to be coagpleted by July 20, 1979);
2.
the separate views of Commissioner Bradford will be circulated to individual Comissioners' offices.
