"adiation Safety Officer is responsible for overall administration of the program, training and certification, document control, and auditing.

The Radiographers are responsible for handling, storing, shipping, inspection, test and operating status and record keeping.

Qualit, Assurance Program The c.anagement of Industr'al Inspection and Testing established and implements this nA Program. Training, prior to engagetnent, for all QA functions is requirnd according to written procedures. QA Program revisions will be made according to written orocedures with management approval. The QA Program will ensore t3 a t all defined QA precedures, engineering procedures, and specific provisions of the package design approval are satisfied. The QA Program will errpha s t r e cor'rol of t5e characteristics of the package which are critical to safoty.

The Padiation Safety Of ficer shall assure that all radioactive raterial ship-ning packaces are designed and manufactured under a OA Program approved by Nuclear Peg.latorv Commission for all packages designed or fabricated af ter the effective date of the OA Program. This requirement can be satisfied b' recniving a certification to this effect from the manufacturer.

6 Handling Storage and Shipping C

Vritten safety procedures concerning the handling, storage and shipping of natkages for certain special form radioactive v.aterial will be followed.

Shipments will not be made unless all tests, certif! rations, acceptances, and g
